What is a Content Managed Website?

A Content Managed System (CMS) is a website that can be edited, expanded and updated on a regular basis by you,  its administrator.  After designing your website to suit your specifications, I will give you the tools to manage the updating yourself. This means that each time you want to make a change on your website, you don't have to return to the web developer for the update…you will be able to do it, saving valuable time and money.

Handover for Managing the Content

The design and completion of a standard website will generally involve four face-to-face meetings (or Skype if you are not available to meet), and plenty of email and phone correspondence.  

Meeting 1.  In the first meeting, we will discuss your requirements.  You will leave this meeting with a basic questionnaire to complete about your business and the website you hope to achieve.  Once you have completed the questionnaire and returned it to me via email, I will begin work on the website.  

Meeting 2.  During the second meeting, I will show you the draft website and we will discuss any changes and/or additions that are required.  We will also use this opportunity to take a professional profile photograph for use on your website.  

Meeting 3. This meeting is used to finalise any remaining website design details.

Meeting 4.  By now we will have the website ready to launch.  I will spend an hour giving you the basic tools to manage your new website..and you will be on your way!

If all goes to plan, there is no reason your website should not be up and running within the month.

Add-ons

Photography.  Depending on your business, you may require more than the basic services.  If you require professional photography for your products, staff, or the like, the fee for a 2 hour photoshoot will be $500.00.  The photos will be used for your website and will also be provided to you on a USB.

Logo Design,  Perhaps you require a new logo to go along with your new website.  The cost of designing your logo will be $450.00.  This will include approximately 3 hours of logo creation where we will come up with 4 potential designs based on your brief. We will then tweak the design to suit your preferences, and work to provide you with your final design.

Retainer for Updating Website.  Some people really do not want to do their own website upkeep.  For changes and updates to your website, the fee will be $120 per hour once the website has been completed.
